I was recently in Hawaii and waiting for a friend who was doing some business at the bank. Once again I was sitting in my car, air conditioner on, listing to music.
I noticed a couple standing outside the store next to the bank. They seemed to be waiting for someone but what I saw revealed a whole lot about this man and woman.
She was putting her arm around him, touching him trying to kiss his neck, grabbing his hand. He was looking left and right like he was thinking "where the heck is the bus?" She continued, and at one point, put both arms around him and kind of forcing him into a hug. Her arms were tight around his waist as she pressed him close to her. His arms were loose around her, as if he was thinking "where the heck is the bus…get this woman off me!" Very revealing.
Then he pulled away and pulled his cell phone out of his pocket to answer a call. While he was talking she continued to touch him and make her presence obvious to him.
From where I sat there wasn't a doubt in the world who was in control.
The one with the lower interest level is always in control.
When someone is pushing themselves on you, you pull away. When someone is chasing you, you run. When someone is getting too close, you create a distance between you.
Isn't it amazing what you can learn, just by looking around?
